Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha declared on Tuesday that digitalization is a vital process that will help transform Albania into a developed country, contribute to its integration in the European Union and as being one of the most efficient efforts in fighting corruption.
The declaration was made during a national conference on information technology, which focused on the improvement of public services for citizens and businesses through e-government. Berisha said that e-government has proven itself in saving time, reducing costs and bureaucracies and also decreasing corruption. The EU is financing a Euro 3.2 million project for the improvement of e-government in Albania.
