During the conversation, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan would be strengthened, noting the success of projects for the purchase of equipment manufactured by KAMAZ and development of oil wells in Turkmenistan by oilmen of Tatarstan. "We need to develop a number of other projects in the field of shipbuilding, aerospace, tourism," the president of Tatarstan said. According to him, Tatarstan's companies are currently developing several alternative projects for the establishment of gambling zones in the territory of Turkmenistan's national tourist zone "Avaza".
The head of Tatarstan also noted that during his visit to Turkmenistan he offered President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the "electronic government" system. "According to your president, you have invited a foreign company to develop a similar system, but we have similar economic structures, the number of ministries, and this will make it possible to use effectively our system of "electronic government" for your own needs," Rustam Minnikhanov said addressing his guests.
Following the meeting, the sides signed a protocol that defines the promising directions of cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan. In the course of the three-day visit to Tatarstan, the Turkmen delegation will see the largest enterprises of the republic such as "Gorkyy Shipyard", "Kazan Helicopter Plant", "KAMAZ", "Sollers", "ELAZ", "Alabuga", and will get acquainted with the system of e-government and transportation innovations of Tatarstan.
