On the sidelines of the UN Public Service Forum 2013, currently hosted by the kingdom, a workshop on "the Initiatives of GCC States towards e-Government and Sustainable Public Services" was organised.
During the workshop, which focused on GCC countries' experience in promoting e-Government, the participants discussed GCC policies in the field of smart government and plans to establish a unified e-Government Portal for the member states.
Successful experiences in the field of e-Government were also presented.
