The 2011-15 ICT master plan, jointly drawn up by experts of Myanmar and S. Korea, covers five main areas -- ICT infrastructure, ICT industry, ICT human resources development, e-education and ICT legal frame work, said the Flower News.

The 2011-15 ICT master plan, handed over to Myanmar recently, represents the second of Myanmar, while the first 2005-10, drawn in 2005, has been claimed as being accomplished.

The implementation has raised Myanmar's tele-density from 1 percent in 2005 to 5.4 percent in 2011, the report said.

Meanwhile, Myanmar will launch an e-learning center in cooperation with South Korea at the Yatanarpon Cyber City in Pyin Oo Lwin, northern part of the country, as part of ASEAN-S. Korea cooperation in promoting IT sector.

Aimed at establishing ASEAN-S. Korea cyber university, the e- learning center will be built with an investment of 1 million U.S dollars under an agreement signed recently between Myanmar Ministry of Science and Technology and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
