At a breakfast meeting on September 17, 2008 the IDB will affirm the provision of funding to support Government’s Public Service Transformation Agenda.
The funds will be reallocated from the Public Sector Reform Initiative Programme and the E-government and Knowledge Brokering Programme.
The Public Service Transformation Agenda will be administered by the Transformation Secretariat, in the Ministry of Public Administration with oversight from a Ministerial Steering Committee.
“The IDB’s support for our Public Service Transformation Agenda is the ultimate vote of donor confidence in our ability to better serve our people,” said Minister Swaratsingh.
The Minister also indicated that “the Public Service Transformation Agenda represents a roadmap for improving capacity and providing citizens with improved public services in selected agencies.”
The IDB delegation includes Mr. Dan Zelikow, Executive Vice President; Mr. Winston Cox, Executive Director, Caribbean Countries; Mrs. Dora Currea, CCB Manager; Mr. Andrew Powell, CCB Regional Economic Advisor; and Mr. Mario Marcel, ICF Manager, Mission to Trinidad.
