Ministry of Information Communication and Infrastructure in partnership with Lasting Solutions Tech Company held workshop with stakeholders on 2020 -2024 ICT4D plan that aimed to engage and undertake consultations with key stakeholders to support the policy and strategy plan development process, for broadband, cyber security, Digital Economy funding mechanism. The synergy was held in Kerewan north bank region.

The Gambia Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (GCCPC) on Tuesday organize day training for journalists on reporting on consumer protection and matters affecting the consumer at the market at its head office in Kotu East.
Amadou Ceesay, Executive Secretary GCCPC, said the aims of the training is to promote competition in all sectors of the economy by prohibiting collusive agreements and bid rigging, investigating and controlling other type of restrictive agreements, monopoly and merger situation.

PS Camara made this statement yesterday at a consultative and validation workshop on phase II implementation plans in the National Information and Communications Infrastructure policy (NICI), held at the Paradise Suites Hotel in Kololi.

President Adama Barrow has said the Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure will be given support to sustain its local area networks.
This, he said, would make it possible for the government to maintain the regional community information centres and provide them with the necessary ICT services.
The e-government data centre would create better coordination and cooperation between government institutions, he added.
