Investors will no longer have to wait for their investment approvals for long as a new Single Window has been launched.

During his speech at the Capacity Building Training Workshop on E-government development in the Pacific and Small Island Developing States at Suvavou House today, Solicitor General and Acting Permanent Secretary for Communications Sharvada Sharma said this will further spur investment by making it easier for the investors to get all approvals in a shorter period of time.

Sharma also said they are currently undergoing digitization in the registration of land titles.

He said this will ensure that land registrations and dealings can be done online and with greater efficiency.

Sharma stressed that they are currently working on the digitization of the registration of companies and businesses to ensure that company records are available online.

He said people will be able to register or search for company details online.

He also highlights that the digitization of the Vola ni Kawa Bula records or birth records of all indigenous landowning units is on the verge of completion.

He said the information will be available on real time basis.

Sharma said this will assist the iTaukei and other entities such as TLTB in distribution of proceeds such as rent and royalties.

The three day workshop will end tomorrow.
