As part of the Public Service Week celebrations, E-Government Agency (eGA) is set to visit government institutions to collect and solve various challenges they face in utilising services provided by the agency.

Addressing reporters in Dar es Salaam, E-government Director of Information, Education and Communication, Ms Suzan Mshakangoto said the agency wanted to ensure every public office has access to ICT infrastructure and resources.

“This was due to the directive made by Minister of State in the President’s Office (Public Service Management and Good Governance), Ms Anjela Kairuki during this year public service week all ministries, departments, Agencies and government institutions will have to mark the event by meeting with their customers and the general public to listen and solve their problems,” Ms Mshakangoto said.

Adding “We have planned to visit 34 government institutions and Ministries for two days in Dar es Salaam region which benefit from our services starting from yesterday with the aim of listening and solving various challenges they face in using our services,” she said.

Recently, Ms Kairuki said that this year’s Public Service Week that started from June 16, will be used by ministries, departments, agencies and other government institutions to receive and address various grievances from the public.

The theme of this year’s celebrations is ‘Public Leadership for Integrated Development.
