Civil Aviation authority is going to introduce electronic-Government Procurement (e-GP) to ease tendering process for the acquisition of goods, works and consultancy services with enhanced efficiency in procurement management, reports BSS. "Activities of the first phase of the e-GP system will begin on July 1.
The vision of the e-GP is to enhance the efficiency and transparency in public procurement through the implementation of a comprehensive e-GP solution to be used by all concerned," Civil Aviation Chairman Air Vice-Marshal M Sanaul Haque said this while speaking at a workshop on 'Electronic Government Procurement" at the VIP Conference Room of Hazrat Shahjalal (R ) International Airport in the city Saturday. He said the e-GP process will be introduced as part of the e- Government Performance Management System, aimed at fulfilling the "e-Government Procurement'" Vision-2021.
