The programme had 40 projects which included the automated 36 offices.
“We have already handed over the completed 36 projects with four components - hardware, networking, web portal and training,” said project director of the Support to ICT Taskforce Programme Proshanta Kumar Chakraborty.
He said the automation of the rest four projects including the President’s office is progressing fast and is expected to be completed soon.
The planning ministry launched the programme involving 1.1bn taka in 2003 aimed to introduce e-governance for increasing dynamism and efficiency of the government and build necessary institutional capacity through ICT training. The project was due to end in 2012.
