Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov assigned to speed up adoption of the conception on Kazakhstani segment of the World Wide Web, Kazinform reports.

“It is necessary to speed up the adoption of the conception,” the Prime Minister said at the governmental session on Tuesday.

“The conception is aimed at development of the Kazakhstani segment of the Internet,” chairman of the Kazakh Agency for Informatization and Communication Kuanyshbek Yesekeyev said.

Kuanyshbek Yesekeyev suggested developing the educational web portals, national portals and search engine within the framework of the e-Government project. In addition, he recommended forming 10 public and 20 private most popular sites and promoting them.

According to the information of the Kazakh Agency for Informatization and Communication, 11% of Kazakhstani citizens are Internet users.
