Development of State Program for E-Government Formation was the uppermost subject of the sitting, chaired by Kazakhstan PM Daniyal Akhmetov, Premier’s press service informs.

Greater emphasis was placed on reduction of “information inequality” (peoples' computer literacy). Therefore the authors of e-government introduced a corresponding program for 2007-2009. Next year summer schools plan to attract more than 1000 teachers and 2000 students to train Kazakhstan nationals. If the problem of peoples’ computer literacy is not settled then the interactive services will be unclaimed, PM noted.

To date 665 information services are realized on e-government's web-portal. By the year-end it is expected to implement entirely an interdepartmental e-document control program.

PM has positively assessed the work done by the Informatization and Communications Agency noting that the first information stage of the State Program comes to an end this year in due time.
