Currently the first stage of e-government’s structure formation has been finished. Web-portal of e-government representing the whole spectrum of information services was installed within its framework.
Besides, within a framework of e-government’s infrastructure establishment a number of projects are being realized. Particularly, it is organization of interdepartmental document flow, which will be launched till the end of 2006, and creation of state data bases of individuals and legal entities, installation of which scheduled on January 1, 2007.
According to Chairman of Agency on Informatization and Communication Askar Zhumagaliyev, for successful realization of the State Program complex of measures is needed. First of all, it is necessary to decrease tariffs on access to Internet and increase level of computer literacy among Kazakhstanis to achieve the major goal of the program – rendering of public services to people, he said.
Summing up the results of the session the Head of the Government positively estimated the work done, having pointed out that Education and Science and Labor and Social Protection Ministries should accord more attention to computer illiteracy of the citizens of Kazakhstan. According to him, to promote the process of informatization in a proper way at least 3 million people should use Internet services in Kazakhstan.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan underlined necessity of the fastest integration of all existing information systems of state bodies, because integration is a key aspect in realization of State Program on Electronic Government.
