Mobile operator Azercell has made a statement about the women’s role in ICT of Azerbaijan.
The Company stated that realization of a number of projects under Azercell’s supervision, including the installation of 3G and 4G networks, network delivery in metro stations, maintenance of uninterrupted network during Eurovision-2012 held in Baku became possible due to a team of Transmission Network Section under Technologies Department, led by Khavar Babazadeh.
“Babazadeh represented Azercell at the International Girls in ICT Day conference conducted in Baku on 23 April within the framework of global events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the International Telecommunications Union. Career path of Khavar Babazade, honored engineer, known for her achievements in ICT in our country continues to be the best example of women’s success in this sphere,” the operator said in the statement.
The conference was organized by Femmes Digitales – Azerbaijani ICT women’s club.
