APA-Economics reports quoting the Ministry that the meeting was also attended by the representatives of various Swiss companies. Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizadeh underlined the role ICT sector as other spheres in successful development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.
Noting that 2013 was declared as ICT year and this sphere is priority for future development of economy in the country, the Deputy Minister spoke about the several regional and national projects to be implemented in the future, including the development of space industry, Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway, EPEG – Europe Persia Express Gateway, the State Fund for the Development of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and High-Tech Park. Velizadeh noted the importance of the experience of Switzerland in Azerbaijan’s ICT Sector.
