The statement came from Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev at an event held on the occasion of the World Tourism Day.
According to him, work on the creation of this system is still actively pursued.
The minister said that foreign citizens entering Azerbaijan with e-visa will be able to use a number of e-services - to book a hotel room, purchase vacation package to Azerbaijani regions, etc.
"All information about hotels, inns and other points of tourismindustry of Azerbaijan will be contained in an electronic database.
Therefore, I urge all members of tourism industry to place on the Internet as much information about their services as possible. Today only 10% of hotels in Azerbaijan have their own internet resources," said the minister.
