Currently, 65% of the Azerbaijani population uses the Internet and half of them use broadband.
The minister of communication and information technologies, Ali Abbasov, told the information in an interview to “Khalq Qazeti”.
The minister noted that during 2004-2010, average rate profitability on ICT in Azerbaijan outstripped the world average 2.5-3 times and the share of private ICT sector over the same period reached 80%.
Today on every 100 persons falls 110 mobile phones, according to the ICT minister.
