Azerbaijan has carried out automation of license granting system for provision of tourism services.
Culture and Tourism Ministry of Azerbaijan has informed that electronic licenses will be granted to tourism companies, hotels and hotel type facilities as well as certain individuals and legal entities wishing to deal with tourism.
"At present the Ministry is carrying out preparatory work for automating the process of license issuance. Work is held within implementation of e-government program in Azerbaijan",- the Ministry reported.
Currently 504 hotels and hotel type facilities are operating in Azerbaijan. Of them only 315 hotels and facilities have licenses. The number of licensed tourism companies is about 200.
