The Multimedia Centre is conducting today in Baku roundtable "Transition to electronic public services: current situation & prospects".

At the meeting Elchin Mammadov, representative of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, has said that until the end of 2011 the country will put into operation a single portal of e-government services.

"To date eight governmental agencies have connected to e-government system, and by the end of 2011 their number is going to increase slightly. In general, 300 e-government services will be connected to the portal until the end of the first half of 2013," he said.

The Ministry has also prepared proposals for educational work in this area. The population and business, in particular, will be explained what is e-public services and how to use them.
