Today in Baku TRACECA national coordinator Akif Mustafayev has informed that currently Azerbaijan is studying prospects of introduction of electronic customs declaration system within the framework of TRACECA and introduction of E-Government Program.
"In many developed countries, particularly in countries of the West, the e-declaration system suggests preliminary declaration at the customs checkpoints on the goods, their nomenclature and volumes via e-mail before the arrival of the cargo that enables to reduce the time of undergoing procedures in customs check-points," Mustafayev said.
He added that there were no specific timelines for system introduction, and analysis and preparation for introduction is underway.
