A ceremony of presentation of the UNDP e-Governance project in Azerbaijan was held in Grand Hotel Europe” in Baku on October 6. Opening the event, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov spoke of the applying modern communication technologies in the country in the framework of the global integration processes. The evaluation was commissioned by UNDP Azerbaijan and carried by Rafal Rohozinski, an independent consultant and director of the Advanced Network Research Group, Cambridge Security Program. Afterwards, coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Azerbaijan Marco Borsotti expressed his view on the project.
