Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said here Friday that using Information Technology (IT) in his Ministry will play an important role in diplomatic activities due to the comprehensively planned data banks and extensive areas of information in the internet Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a visit to the 1st e-government fair, Kharrazi said digital diplomacy are among important issues in the world.
Pointing to the recent World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) held in Geneva, he said, "Iran should arrange comprehensive schedule and coordination for regular related activities and implementation of the projects proposed during the summit."
He said the exhibition of e-commerce is indicative of Iran's determination to use information technology in order to improve the government's capability in offering services to the people in various areas.
