The Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company has been awarded a £409 million ($526 million) contract to build two of the megacity’s four skyscrapers.
Lusail is built with a focus on sustainability, incorporating green spaces, energy-efficient buildings, and smart city technologies.
The city includes a variety of residential, commercial, and entertainment areas, aiming to create a vibrant community for residents and visitors.
Featuring luxury yachts, waterfront dining, and retail options, the Marina District is a key attraction in Lusail.
Speaking of unique designs, the Marina Twin Towers resemble colorful LEGO blocks stacked on top of each other, while the £470 million ($605 million) Katara Towers consist of two curved towers that form a horseshoe shape.
Once completed in 2022, Katara Towers will feature two hotels and hundreds of high-end apartments.
The Lusail Plaza Towers project is not as advanced as Katara Towers but will include two sets of twin towers built on four symmetrical linear podiums.
