How to formulate an information technology development strategy and an e-Government master plan in Vietnam was discussed at an IT symposium in Hanoi on Tuesday. Participants shared experiences in developing information technology and e-Government models in regional countries, which should help Vietnamese experts find appropriate solutions to IT applications so as to enhance effective performances of the Government and local authorities. It will also help facilitate businesses� trade and production, and save time and energy in relations with the Government.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Post and Telematics, Mai Liem Truc stressed the Ministry�s role in completing an IT development strategy in Vietnam and an e-Government master plan this year.
The symposium was held by the Ministry of Post and Telematics, UNDP, Singapore�s Infocomn Development Authority-IDA, and the US Cisco Systems corporation.
