A delegation of the Management Board of a government project on computerising state administrative governance visited France from Feb. 3-16.

The visit was aimed at conducting research into the electronic administrative structure of the French Government in order to better Viet Nam's implementation of the "Computerisation of state administrative governance" project (Programme 112 of the Government), said Vu Dinh Thuan, Director of the Project Management Board.

The director further said that while in France, his delegation worked with some agencies under the French Ministries of Justice; Foreign Affairs; Interior and Regional Development; Economy; and Finance and Industry; and various local authorities.

They learned about France's experiences in e-government and its strategies to develop electronic administrative systems from central to grassroots levels.

The "Computerisation of state administrative governance" project, part of Viet Nam's master plan on state administrative reform, has been carried out in Viet Nam for four years.
