Moroccan prime minister, Driss Jettou, said Monday the government is resolved to make online administration a reality and a factor of development and progress.

"We want to speed up of the e-administration scheme, as a priority measure that will lay the foundations for a modern, reactive and efficient administration," Jettou said at the opening of the forum "e-administration: real cases and perspectives," held in Rabat July 7-8. The e-government government project was developed by a joint private-public technical committee, chaired by the minister in charge of economic and general affairs and economy upgrading.

The program, which went through both parliament chambers, aims to improve information processing and extend on-line services. "It is meant to improve service quality and cost-efficiency," said the prime minister.

The digital battle is at the heart of economic and social development, and it is of paramount importance for our country's openness and globalization challenges, he said.
