The Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL) is one of the organizations that work with the central administration to achieve this goal and, according to its president, Taavi Kotka, “the IT Agency is extremely important for Estonia. Creating it here would be the bests help ever for the whole Estonian IT sector. Estonia would nicely manage to build it up”.
With its advanced IT background Estonia seems to be one of the most suitable candidates for hosting the European agency as it already proved itself and the quality of infrastructures offered by carrying successfully projects as Skype, the e-health system (the introduction of digital health records on a nationwide database), and the e-voting system which is now being exported to Palestine.
