The Riyadh Municipality has upgraded its e-services by utilizing its modern infrastructure, including ICT for facilitating access to municipal services.

It is a strategic move for the current year in coordination with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, an official at the municipality.

The new strategy will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of IT systems within the Riyadh region and its affiliated municipalities in addition to a number e-services across various departments that deal directly with the public.

They will also conduct a comprehensive study on the main challenges facing the municipality to upgrade and enhance the e-service applications provided to customers and services. This requires constant monitoring and follow up to ensure that its infrastructure is in line with the latest technological developments.

According to the official, the aim of the plan is to simplify administrative procedures within the municipality and enhance the level of services.

The move coincides with the expansion of the city in various economic and social sectors. The strategy also seeks to collect required data before outlining a plan of action and mechanism for implementation.

The new plan includes the launch of a package of electronic services to gain access to more e-services, in line with the directives, creating a new set of services that were not previously available.
