The Ministry of Civil Service has embarked on implementation of the National Human Resources Planning project (NHRP) in cooperation with the e-Government Program (Yesser) Minister Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Barrak said.

The project is aimed at the setting up of a standard environment for the automation of human resources planning procedures and unification of job functions and procedures at the administrative and financial departments of the ministry, he said.

Work on the NHRP project, which was already proposed by the ministry, comes as a result of meetings jointly held with the former minister of telecommunications and IT and in cooperation with e-Government Program (Yesser), implemented by his ministry as of 18/12/1435, the minister said.

He said the NHRP project includes human resources system (personnel, salaries, administrative development, promotions, and self services), finance (accounting, assets, payables, receivables), and procurement chains (purchasing and warehousing.

The NHRP project is divided into two tracks: The first, called the “quick track”, which is meant to apply the human resources system in the ministry within the next six months, and the second track, called the “strategic track,” which will be applied on the completion of the first phase aimed to meet the requirements of government agencies in the areas of personnel, salaries and employee benefits, he noted.

He said the ministry was keen to integrate the personnel department at the ministry with other organizational departments in the ministry to come up with a system combining practical and regulatory experiences.

The other organizational departments, such as Classification, Promotions and Training, are vigorously working to build personnel procedures to ensure transparency and integrity standards.
