HRH Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs "MOMRA" Dr. Mansour bin Mit'eb bin Abdul Aziz and HE Minister of Communications & Information Technology "MCIT" Eng. Mohamed Jamil Mullah signed a memorandum of understanding between MOMRA and the e-Government Program (Yesser). According to the that MoU, Yesser will support efforts made by MOMRA with reference to the e-Government transformation and adoption of the infrastructure concept in conformity with the e-Government Action Plan.

Under that MoU, the e-Government Program will provide MOMRA with consultant and infrastructure services to implement the comprehensive municipal information system called "Baladi".

A meeting was held recently at MOMRA premises attended by governor of Communications and Information Technology Commission Eng. Abdullah Darab chairman of Yesser steering committee, Eng. Ali bin Saleh Al-Soma Yesser director general, Eng. Ahmed Al-Khayari assistant director general of Yesser, Eng. Sultan Al-Sayar IT director general, Eng. Abdullah Al-Anzi applications manager, manager of the comprehensive e-Municipal system and Eng. Saud Al-Abdul Aziz manager of the projects office.

During the meeting, MOMRA IT director general elaborated the existing status and MOMRA's IT vision, mission, achievements and human capital.

MOMRA team provided a presentation of the comprehensive municipal e-System highlighting its vision to establish a comprehensive municipal information system that contains a vast quantity of valid and accurate information. The system's mission appears in providing high quality e-Services that will be accessible anywhere, through any media and at any time. Objectives include improving productivity and efficiency, standardization of business processes, maintaining municipal documents, delivering accurate information, analysis and statistics. As a part of the government business pillars, the system will support the country's economy and increase investment returns.

Minister of MOMRA and Minister of MCIT expressed their happiness on signing that memorandum of understanding confirming that it comes within the efforts to implement KSA vision that is aimed at achieving the desired progress for the Saudi community.
