The Ministry of Labor will start providing services through its e-government system from next Monday.

Undersecretary for Planning and Development Mufarrij Al-Haqbani said the ministry will provide employment services and issue work permits via the website www.mol.gov.sa.

“Men and women seeking jobs can register through this link and be nominated for jobs tailored to their qualifications and experience in the private sector,” he said.

The official explained that the new electronic service will also include the issuance and renewal of work permits, where applicants can pay the fees and complete all other procedures through the website without the need to visit the labor offices.

He revealed that a trial with three big private companies was conducted prior to the launching of the new service. “The experiment was a success and so the new service will be officially launched next week,” he added.

Al-Haqbani said the ministry’s main objective was to provide work opportunities for citizens.

“We will establish a comprehensive database on the Saudi labor market comprising jobseekers’ records,” he said, adding that the ministry will coordinate with other ministries and government departments to implement the Saudi employment strategy.
