Within the framework of supporting the Kingdom's march towards e-government and following a similar agreement with the Public Security Department last month, the National Commercial Bank (NCB) and the Saudi Air Defense signed an agreement to automate the payrolls of the Air Defense using NCB's integrated "e-Payroll" solution.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Air Defense Forces in Riyadh between HRH Prince Badr Bin Mohammed Bin Turki Al-Saud, Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs on behalf of the Commander of the Air Defense Forces Lieutenant General Abdul Aziz Bin Mohammed Al-Hussein, and Al-Sharif Khalid AlGhalib Senior Vice President and Head of Individual Banking Sector at NCB.

NCB's e-Payroll service offers advanced applications and a sophisticated system that will allow the Air Defense's administration an integrated platform to electronically manage, follow up and execute its payroll, including salaries as well as other payable accounts.

The Air Defense's Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs commented on the agreement by indicating that his administration aims through this step to act in the light of the e-government direction toward keeping pace with technological development in order to continuously facilitate procedures and enhance the payroll performance and boosting order, accuracy and efficiency of administrative operations.

Al-Sharif Khalid AlGhalib, on his part, described the agreement as another substantial step in a series of steps to support the Kingdom's e-government march as the service is designed to speed up work, increase efficiency and reduce risk. He pointed out that over 80% of the transactions of NCB's customers are done electronically, which makes the e-Payroll system an additional convenience not only to employers but to the employee as well.

AlGhalib affirmed that the bank is currently working to complete building customized solutions for the rest of the governmental institutions as part of an ongoing quest to provide the most advanced services using the latest technologies in the world.
