Neom: Saudi Arabia’s City of the Future

While the super-tall, ultra-narrow concept for the LINE has made waves over the past two years for its highly ambitious design — and controversial politics — the megacity is just one of four which are planned for NEOM, Saudi Arabia‘s envisioned city of the future. Located in the northwestern province of Tabuk, the larger-than-life proposal is spearheaded by Mohammed bin Salman, the nation’s crown prince and prime minister, along with Roger Nickells, former CEO of BuroHappold. Overall, the project will take shape with architectural designs by Morphosis, Zaha Hadid Architects, Mecanoo, Aedas, and UNStudio.

The new offering will enable service providers to deliver next-generation networks and technologies and powering the future of smart city innovations.

The second phase of e-invoicing comes as an extension to the economic renaissance and digital transformation that Saudi Arabia is witnessing

Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has defined the criteria for selecting the targeted establishments in the second group to implement the integration phase of e-invoicing.

NEOM is dealing with no challenges or problems in establishing The Line, the 170-kilometer smart city, as Saudi Arabia is putting high efforts to make it happen, a stated by a top official.

In an exclusive meeting with Arab News on the offshoots of the World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, last week, Peter Fitzhardinge, chief of Tourism Marketing at NEOM mentioned that the improvement operations in NEOM are developing progressively, and the USD500 billion venture is turning into a reality.
