As part of national agenda to aggressively expand infrastructure and also to accelerate ICT education to enhance the delivery of quality education in Primary and Junior High Schools across the country Government has given a very big boost to education in the Ga East Municipality with the provision of a multi-purpose library facility.

The two-storey facility forms part of government’s drive to achieving the Goal Two of the Millennium Development Goals; of achieving universal primary education.

The library is situated at the Kwabenya Municipal assembly’s school.

It is funded from the District Development Fund (DDF) with support from the government at a cost of Gh¢165,264.40.

The library is equipped with computers from the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC).

The provision of ICT is in line with government’s intervention to employ ICT for schools to enhance the delivery of quality education through the e-government project.
