Konya Metropolitan Municipality KOSKİ General Directorate added a new one to its Smart City Applications. KOSKİ now uses biometric signature instead of wet signature in subscription transactions carried out at service points. With the new system, service is provided faster and more effectively, and digital archive transformation is accelerated by saving on paper and archival documents.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality KOSKİ General Directorate broke new ground among water and sewerage administrations in Turkey and closed the wet signature period for subscription transactions to be made at service points. In the new system to be implemented within the scope of the "Project for Carrying out Water and Wastewater Subscription Transactions with Biometric Signature", biometric signature is now available. will be used. The biometric signature application incorporated into Smart City Applications aims to provide more effective service by accelerating subscription processes, thus supporting the digital archive transformation by saving on paper and archive costs.

KOSKİ WAS THE FIRST TO PERFORM THE "DISTANCE CONTRACT" APPLICATION

KOSKİ, which carries out transaction processes safely within the scope of KVKK with the application launched in Konya central branches, enables subscribers to access their subscriber contracts digitally. KOSKİ, which has implemented the "Distance Contract" application for the first time among water and sewerage administrations since 2020, removed the wet signature requirement in online transactions and citizens' web sites. It allowed users to make subscription transactions via address, mobile application or e-Government portal.

GUARANTEE FEES CAN NOW BE PURCHASED FROM PTT BRANCHES

Konya Metropolitan Municipality KOSKİ General Directorate offered another convenience to citizens who can collect their guarantee fees through their bank accounts by presenting IBAN through online subscription closing processes. KOSKİ, which agreed with PTT for deposit refunds in order to facilitate the transactions of citizens who do not have a bank account, also provided the opportunity for citizens who applied for subscription cancellation to receive a refund of the deposit amounts given after the termination of their active subscriptions, both from KOSKİ branches and PTT branches.
