An e-link was launched on Thursday connecting the Public Authority for Housing Welfare and Real Estate Registration Office.
The go-ahead was given by Minister of Justice and Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea, and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Yasser Abul.
Using electronic media in state ministries and offices will no doubt contribute effectively toward the eventual goal of the e-government, Minister Al-Sanea told reporters.
He added that the Ministry of Justice is carrying on with the use of e-media in all its departments, as well as other co-providers of public services.
Through the link with the registration office, the authority will be able to obtain data on citizens applying to have a housing unit from the state, the minister said.
Al-Sanea stressed the role by the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) in that respect.
For his part, Minister Abul lauded the link project as a distinguished achievement that goes in line with directives by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to streamline services offered to the Kuwaiti people.
