The e-gate is supervised by the state's Central Agency for Information Technology. It allows visitors access to all information, services, and laws in the State of Kuwait.
It provides services under three categories; services directed at citizens and residents, at businessmen, and other visitors of the page. It gives access to e-services from 39 governmental bodies.
Each of these main three sectors is also divided into three sub-categories. The first one is "Information Services" which saves visitors time and effort by providing all necessary information such as the name of the service and a description of it, required paperwork, procedures, fees, and e-application forms.
The second category is "e-services" where visitors can look up their personal data at all governmental bodies and directly find the needed information. It also allows visitors to inquire about renewal date for civil IDs, traffic violation tickets, and court cases.
Meanwhile, the third category is "ministries" where visitors can easily reach any ministry and get familiarized with its services and all related government bodies.
One main service offered by e-gate is "e-pay" which enables easy and fast payment of government-related fees and bills without going through the hassle of routine procedures or waiting in line. The number of e-pay transactions conducted through the website in October reached 13,387 process, collecting KD 813,721.
The top e-service sought is access to the Ministry of Interior's website where visitors searched information regarding traffic violations, made violation penalty payments, and also made travel ban inquiries.
The e-gate also provides information on Kuwait's culture, tourist attractions, health services at all medical centers and hospitals in the country. It also offers reports on weather conditions, reports main news, provides aviation information, and lists currency exchange rates.
