Governor pledges support to oral health program

Interior Ministry announced Sunday launching of the first automated machine for self-information service that enables citizens and expatriates to know procedures and documents needed to carry out transactions related to the ministry. General Manager of the General Department for information systems at the ministry Lieutenant-General Adel Al-Munayes said in a press statement that the machine displays information on its screen in both Arabic and English, and provides services related to traffic violations, bails, driving licenses, Kuwaiti passports, and vehicle cards.

The machine also provides information on how to carry out transactions, locations of service centers, and Interior Ministry vehicles, he added. He pointed out that the launching of the new service is an implementation to the guidelines of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of Defense Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah in which he called for easing services through geographic expansion and completing the e-government project by providing information of citizens and residents in a joint database. Al-Munayes said the first machine is located in Souk Sharq and that more machines will be put in other malls like Al-Kout, Marina Mall, and Al-Mouhallab after the completion of technical preparations.

Meanwhile, Farwaniya Gover-nor Abdul Hameed Al-Hajji has pledged his support to the Health Ministry’s oral health programme in Farwaniya governorate. During a recent meeting with head of the Oral Health Awareness Programme Dr Habbaba Al-Muzaini, the Governor discussed ways to implement awareness campaigns among school children in Farwaniya governorate. The achievements of the Oral Health Programme since 1994 were also discussed.
