The Belarus Department of Informatization under the Ministry of Communications and Informatization is to be established in Belarus in accordance with a recent presidential decree.
The new department will be responsible for the co-ordination and integration of automated information systems for the various state agencies. The 24 specialists of the new department will revise and improve the Electronic Belarus Programme, simplifying it and attempting a more thorough-going cost-effectiveness in the introduction of e-government in Belarus.
