The total volume of funding allocated for the modern information systems introduction programs in Dagestan amounts to: in 2011 - 153 627 000 rubles; in 2012 - 159 867 000 rubles.
The introduction of modern electronic systems will allow making electronic appointment with a doctor via the Internet, information and reference sensor terminals (informants), holding electronic medical records, electronic document management, etc.
In total 136 medical facilities are involved into the program. As part of the modernization program 2229 workstations will be equipped with modern informational units. In order to maintain the terminal stations it is planned to install 118 terminal servers. Servers will also be used to provide electronic document management, telemedicine, electronic storage of medical records and other tasks. To be able to use Universal Smart Card (e-policies), each workstation will be equipped with a Universal Smart Card reader. Work places at the reception facilities will be equipped with barcode readers. 3244 ports of the locally-area networks will be installed. To enable the electronic appointment possibility with the doctor the medical institutions of the republic will be equipped with 442 informants.
13 major republican health care institutions will receive telemedicine centers with the ability to conduct videoconferencing sessions from operating rooms. 52 urban district hospitals will receive telemedicine subscriber points.
