The project aims to convert the busy roundabout into a modern, visually striking smart square aligned with smart city standards.
According to sources, construction work is progressing rapidly on a transparent frame that stands 50 feet tall and spans 25 feet in width. The structure has already drawn public attention due to its unique design and modern appearance.
Inspired by Dubai-style urban development, the frame is designed to offer an impressive visual experience, especially at night through decorative lighting and advanced display features.
A key feature of the project is the installation of an SMD screen within the transparent frame. Compared to conventional screens, the SMD display offers higher clarity, improved efficiency, and lower energy consumption.
The screen will be used to broadcast public information, awareness messages, event updates, and other important announcements for citizens.
Officials say the introduction of transparent smart mesh displays will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of Liberty Chowk but will also move Lahore closer to its broader smart city vision.
