Transforming Government since 2001
The clients of Directorate General Civil Aviation Administration of the Transport Ministry will have the opportunity to take advantage of 35 electronic services, the Capital Daily reports.

Electronic services will save time for physical persons who need to visit the capital and the DG at least twice every year to submit various documents such as license applications and certificates, the Deputy Transport Minister Georgi Todorov said at presenting the project.

The value of the project is BGN 1 million. The financing comes under OP Administrative Capacity and is part of the e-government strategy, the implementation of which has been at a standstill over the past few years.

The developer is still testing the software, the use of which should begin in 2-3 months, according to unofficial information. So far particular flaws have been identified.

Online payments via the DG’s portal are still impossible, while the administration is currently leading negotiations with the two banks providing their services – First Investment Bank (Fibank) and UniCredit Bulbank. The administration assured that services are still possible online with an attached scanned document verifying the payment.

Another existing problem is that the Electronic Government Act does not envisage the use of any other language but Bulgarian.

Not all services offered by the administration will be available online. The total number оf services the DG offers is 57, 35 of which are the most popular.
