The presentation of this internet portal was held today, on Digital Agenda Day which has been observed in Serbia for the first time.
Speaking at the presentation, Cvetkovic announced that the number of services available in e-format will be increased to 500 over the next two years.
He explained that citizens and companies will be able to obtain various certificates from their PCs, provided they have a certified e-signature.
They will also be able to make payments to the treasury and tax administrations via the portal www.euprava.gov.rs.
The Prime Minister recalled that electronic Serbian government was introduced one year ago, which enabled great savings in materials and time.
Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society Jasna Matic underlined that the internet portal of e-administration has been opened on the day when the EU observes Digital Agenda Day and announced that Serbia will gradually introduce services which the EU already has.
Matic specified that this portal was made in association with the National Bank of Serbia and the Ministry of Finance in the part related to e-payment. At the moment, 27 institutions that provide more than 50 electronic services are connected to this internet portal.
Some of these institutions include the Ministry of the Interior, commercial courts, the National Employment Service, the National Library and some cities and municipalities.
The Digital Agenda for Serbia has been introduced after the model of Europe’s Digital Agenda, which is one of the seven leading initiatives for the EU’s economic development.
This Agenda, developed by the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Society, consists of the Strategy of Information Society and the Strategy of Electronic Communications. The priorities in the years to come will be the development of e-business, e-administration, e-trade, e-judiciary, e-health, e-education and the development of infrastructure which will help these services to be available to citizens.
