The Management Services Department (MSD), in collaboration with e-Government National Centre (eGNC) under the Prime Minister’s Office, yesterday concluded its three-day roadshow on ‘Implementation of Public Approach’ by government agencies. Held from June 27-30, the event aimed to share the guidelines on public approach procedures by government agencies.

The event started with recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a welcoming address by MSD Acting Director Aminuddin bin Haji Buntar.

Among the attendees were government officials from 13 ministries and departments under them with roles and responsibilities related to policy development and management, corporate communications and public relations, administration, special duties and research.

The content of the roadshow included a briefing on ‘Implementation of Public Approach’ delivered by a representative from MSD, briefing on digital media usage by eGNC and information sharing by a number of invited government agencies such as Health Promotion Centre, Brunei-Muara District Office, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Treasury Department at the Ministry of Finance as well as Corporate Communication and Allied Health Professions of the Ministry of Health.

Regular public engagement is one of the continuous civil service frameworks to support the realisation of Brunei Vision 2035. Implementation of public approached activities is aimed at enhancing the good relations between government agencies and the public.
