Syabas Technologies on Monday signed the B$23.5 million project for the "Supply, Delivery, Installation, Development, Testing and Commissioning of the Enterprise Data and Network Center, Network Infrastructure and Services including the Operations and Management Data and Network Center for the Prime Minister's.
Syabas Technologies is a wholly-owned Bruneian company. It specialises in providing comprehensive end-to-end technology solutions and the first Brunei Company to have won the internationally recognised award from APICTA for its software application in Majestic Library.
According to Sheikh Abbas, his company will be delivering the project with the strong support of its business partner IBM, one of the world's leading IT firms and world's largest consulting services organisation.
"Together with IBM's Business Consulting Services expertise and experience in e-Government initiatives, we look forward to helping our Government achieve its aspiration to better serve our people and operate on demand", said Sheikh Abas.
"Indeed, e-Government will help transform the way government interact with the public and businesses. This initiative will help the Brunei Government deliver end-to-end services to its population with greater transparency, accoun-tability and efficiency," agreed the Country General Manager of IBM Brunei, Mr. Voon Seng Chuan.
