E-government will be pivotal in building the country’s economic future, the Oxford Business Group quoted Haslina Taib, CEO of BAG Networks, as saying in a statement issued yesterday.
The research and consultancy firm said Taib highlighted the “considerable emphasis” that Brunei had placed on its e-government programme in Wawasan 2035, the long-term national development plan. “We see ICT as one of the key enablers of e-government and Wawasan 2035,” she told the group.
She added that high quality back-room services, tailored to Brunei’s market, will help elevate e-services and bring efficiency to the government’s operations.
