In conjunction with the launching last May of the 2009-2014 e-Government Strategic Plan, a survey was conducted to identify government department that need the electronic-aid services. The survey was carried out along with the Prime Minister Office and the Brunei Info-Com Federation and implemented with the e-government National Centre and the Brunei Accenture Goup-bag Networks Sendirian Berhad.

The Senior Special Duties Officer at the Prime Minister Office, who is also the Acting Director of the National e-Government Centre said the survey is open to all rakyat and resident in the country with the target number of between two to three thousand people. The survey was conducted since December 4th and will go on for two months and throughout the four districts.

Dayang Hajjah Mariah explained that the survey is intended to get public perceptions over which government department will need the online service and also to get public response on how the public will use the e-government services later. Result of the survey will help the government to identify and prioritise on important government services that will be implemented with the e-government projects.

The public can participate in the survey by filling-in the online forms through a website at www.egovcitizensurvey2009.gov.bn or come over to a roadshow to be held in all the four districts. In the Brunei Muara District it will be held on Saturday at the Mall, Gadong, Land Transport Department and at the Mail Processing Centre in Berakas.
