A group of students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) visited the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) yesterday afternoon.

Participating in yesterday's visit was Her Royal Highness Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah Pg Salleh Ab Rahaman.

According to Dr Hazri Kifle, a lecturer from the Faculty of Business, the university is currently conducting a module on "E-Government: Perspectives and Issues".

One of the objectives of the module is to expose the students to the practical aspects of implementing ICT in Brunei. Furthermore, according to Dr Kifle, the students would also benefit from discussions on the issues related to the formation of E-government, E-business and information society in Brunei.

On hand to greet the students was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of AITI Pg Hj Mohd Salleh Pg Hj Aji, as well as other senior officials.

The visit included presentations by the management from different departments before touring the five local ICT companies exhibiting their latest ICT products and services within AITI's new building.
