The purpose of the website is to give users full access to information about St. Vincent de Paul Residence, as well as to provide assistance to those elderly who still live in the community and who could seek advice from experts at the residence.
On this occasion, Mr. Galea stated that "this day is dedicated to the sick people; our priority is the sick people whether they are at home or in hospital."
Mr. Galea also said that professionals will offer consultancy services to the relatives of the elderly people who live in the community. Among the services offered are:
- Control and prevention of infectious diseases;
- Treatment of nursing for people with dementia;
- Incontinence;
- Nursing practices of and home support;
- Nutrition;
- Care skin or wounds due to lack of mobility of elderly people;
- Physiotherapy;
- Occupational Therapy.
At the website users can find notices about all the departments and the wards of the Residence, as well as photos, a schedule with the residential activities, press releases, places of interest such as chapels for the spiritual support of the residents and a list of phone numbers.
The logo was also launched, aiming to improve the corporate identity of the Residence. Hon Mario Galea said that St Vincent de Paul will continue to offer more of its expertise to the community. In the end, he thanked the professionals and all the workers of the Residence.
