The local government in Bucharest has introduced online tax payment locally in the capital city's second district.

To use the service, citizens need a contract with Banc Post or Romanian Commercial Bank, and after requesting the service will receive a password to access the service non-stop at the address Ps2.ro.

3,000 small companies and 200,000 citizens living in the second district are potential customers.

In the first two days after the service was introduced, 80 requests for passwords were logged at the district’s financial office. Four major banks — Raiffeisen, Romanian Development Bank, Ion Tiriac and City Bank — said they were interested in collaborating with the second district’s City Hall in order to offer this service to their customers.
